This is it, the Saturn IB that served Skylab and the Apollo Soyuz Test Project! Oh
sure… it may look like the same Saturn IB kit that we’ve been selling all along here
at Dr. Zooch Rockets but it is not… okay… well it is… but we’ve changed a lot of
stuff… okay… we’ve changed a few things so it will look like the Saturn IBs AS206,
AS207, AS208, AS209 and AS210. Of course if you’ve already bought one of our
Saturn IB kits and flown it- you’re going to buy this one too not only because it flies
terrific, but because you can not stands ~17.5 inches tall and has a fin span of just
under 3 inches. It is a single stage rocket, parachute recovery and the kit DOES
NOT CONTAIN ANY WORKING ENGINES. It flies best on B or Cs and a C6-7 will
send it over 660 feet in the right conditions. This kit is NOT for beginners as it
requires average skills and turns out best with above average patience.

Q: What scale is it?
A: It is a semi-scale kit.
Q: (Now whining like a 2 year old in need of a nap) No I mean what is the exact scale I need to know, because I
actually am on the Internet just so I could write and harass people about exact scales.
A: No problem… the scale is 1 rod = 77 cubits.
Q: That’s not an answer (intense whining) what is the exact scale?
A: Seek professional help.
Q: Don’t you know that the Saturn IB had 8 engines and not four?
A: We get this one from people who really desire to be an actual know-it-all yet fail to take into account that this is
a FLYING model and you have to have some place to put in the working engine. (Yes- we actually get asked this
question). Again… seek professional help.
Q: How close is this to the real thing?
A: It can be real close- if you take it to the KSC Visitor center and hold it next to AS209, otherwise, just stand back
and squint.
Q: Is this a kit… will I need to build it?
A: No- just take all of those little parts in the box, dig a hole in your yard, bury
the whole bunch, water it generously and in 770 months a full sized Saturn IB
will spring up. Either that or you can follow the instructions and build it and fly a
small one right away.
Q: You know I may have, one day, maybe, perhaps bought one of your rockets if
your website text was not so offensive.
A: OUCH! I’ll alert the bank to stop the paperwork on that property I was gonna
buy on Lake Huron… because now I will be without the money that you may
have sent me.
